Alresford, a beautiful market town set in the heart of Hampshire. Well known for it’s watercress and for the Watercress Line which has steam trains running to Alton and hosts regular special events.

Melody’s art gallery is in an old malthouse. Built in 1796 this is the only remaining malt house in Alresford and one of only two of this type with public access in the country.

What a lovely atmosphere and what a lovely place to paint, Melody has been able to develop her oil paintings and fine art print s in a range of styles including abstract art, flower painting and landscape painting, since moving into the building in November 2005.

Growing up on Exmoor it is clear the colourful landscapes made a strong impression. As a teenager Melody worked as an assistant to a photographer, and still enjoys using photography to gather ideas for new paintings.
