Dear customer,

we are writing to keep you up to date with news about Melody Art.

Melody has been painting and selling her work in the Malthouse in Alresford for just over three and a half years and so it is with a mix  of excitement and sadness that she will be moving from this lovely building at the end of June.

What and where are we going?

Well, over the last year Melody and I have been thinking about our art and the future.  As you know Melody finds a lot of her inspiration in Exmoor, where she grew up, and it has long been her hope to return there one day.  As for me, I have been trying to balance a full time job with working for Melody and also developing my own photographic range, which you may have seen launched at the beginning of May.

So, the obvious step is for us to find a premises somewhere around Exmoor and to work towards  our future hope of working together and living in this beautiful and inspirational setting.

In order to move forward with our dream we are leaving the Malthouse and will be looking for somewhere we can work and continue to develop Melody’s art and my photography.

In the meantime, please keep looking at the web site, yes I know it hasn’t been updated for a while, just one of the reasons we both need to move forward.  But, I will be updating the site and maybe we will even start that blog, with so many exciting things happening it should be fun and make interesting reading.

On the web site we will be adding a list of galleries where you can view and purchase Melody’s paintings.  You can still phone us on 01962 733123 or email Melody if you have a particular requirement or would like to view any of her paintings, or even just to keep in touch.

Thank you for making the past three and a half years such fun and such an adventure and for playing your part in encouraging us to go forward in this way.

Melody

It will be sad to say cheerio to my studio, and the special times spent there with you all over the years. I have especially loved meeting  little artists, who have been an excuse to have chocolate and lollies.

Christina, Elizabeth, Isobel, Ester, Carmen, Simon, Louisa, Jordan, Alistair, Douglas, Emma, and others I am sorry to have misplaced the names.  Often my little friends brought you up to see me and you too found a picture you liked. Funny how things turn out.

Its time to move on….  As you may know I have a personal Christian faith so am confident in his timing and care. ……  It is exciting to feel doors open, and for David to have had such success with his photography in our recent exhibition.

In 1991 I came to Winchester School Of Art, yet as David has said I long for the quiet walks on  Exmoor, and the chance to show David the wild deer, and the changing colours.

THANK YOU X
